Victoria Lancelotta
is author of the critically-acclaimed debut story collection HERE IN THE WORLD
(Counterpoint Press, 2000) and of the first novel FAR (Counterpoint Press,
2003). She has been published in a wide array of presitigous
magazines, including Glimmer Train, The Threepenny Review, Mississippi Review, Black
Warrior Review, Texas Review, Literal Latte and Ohio Review, and has been anthologized by
Warner Books. She has been twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, for Scribner's Best
of the Workshops, has won the $3,000 Heinfield Transatlantic Award, has been a finalist
for the Glimmer Train Very Short Fiction Award, The Drue Heinz First Book Award and The
Heekin Group Foundation, and has been awarded fellowships to the MacDowell Colony, the
Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center and the Breadloaf Writers Conference. She
is
currently Associate Fiction Editor of The Mississippi Review and
The Georgetown Review.
